Why we built MelaninDerm
Finding a dermatologist who understands Black skin and hair shouldn't depend on word of mouth.
Conditions like CCCA, traction alopecia, keloids and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation are common in Black patients, and many people spend years looking for a dermatologist who recognizes them early. Most directories either list every dermatologist in town or rely on a single page you have to take on trust.
MelaninDerm does it differently. We read each practice's own website, quote what it says about caring for Black skin and hair, and match its licensed providers in the federal NPI registry. We never guess anyone's race. Read how we verify.

We're a small independent team. We aren't a medical practice, we don't refer patients for a fee, and listing is free. See how we make money.
